Ultra X Wales is a rugged trail race through the rolling hills, valleys and wild beauty of the Brecon Beacons. Scheduled for 25–26 July 2026 in Abergavenny, Ultra X Wales offers six distances including 110km as both a single-stage and a two-stage format, plus 60km, 50km, 25km and 12km options. The event combines demanding off-trail terrain with fully marked courses and camping options for participants and supporters. It is presented as part of the broader Ultra X race series and is designed for both experienced ultrarunners and those stepping up to multi-day events.
Several distances carry UTMB Index recognition and the event contributes to the GB Slam when eligible distances are completed across the three UK Ultra X races. Race inclusions listed on the event page include a finisher's medal, GPS tracker, comprehensive on-course medical and safety support, and aid stations with water and snacks; camping is available at nearby activity centres for race weekend nights. Under-23s are noted as free across all distances and entries are handled via the organiser's registration link. The page emphasises community, on-site therapy services and staged race logistics rather than detailed pricing on the event page.
