The Rügenbrücken-Marathon (Rügenbrücken-Marathon) is a single-day running festival held on the Stralsund–Rügen connection that features races crossing the Rügen Bridge and finishing in Stralsund. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 10 October 2026 and registration for that edition opens on 4 April 2026. The event combines road running on asphalt and well-kept paths with distinctive bridge and coastal views around Dänholm, Altefähr and Rambin, and the official start/finish is at the Mahnkeschen Wiese in Stralsund. Organisational branding includes Sparkassen and DAK partners and the event is staged with multiple local partners and service providers.
Multiple distances are offered for a broad range of ages, from a 3 km children’s run up to the full marathon, with separate walking and nordic-walking categories. Chip timing is provided (davengo) and all finishers receive a finisher medal and a certificate with official time; an event shirt is available for purchase at registration. Course rules and participation conditions are published on the organiser pages and explicitly prohibit dogs, bicycles, balance bikes and prams on the routes. The event has significant community support and scale — the 2025 recap recorded over 5,000 finishers and many volunteers and emergency personnel — reflecting a large regional participation level.
