Race for Life Bristol 5k 2026 is a charity 5 km walk, jog and run organised by Cancer Research UK to raise funds for life‑saving cancer research. The event takes place on Sunday 21 June 2026 at The Downs in Bristol and is suitable for first‑time runners and walkers as well as experienced participants. The 5 km distance is presented as an achievable, family‑friendly challenge with an inclusive atmosphere and no requirement to finish in a specific time.
The course is primarily on grass around the outer perimeter of Durdham Downs and Clifton Downs with mixed terrain and a modest overall ascent of 28 m, and an alternative tarmac route is available to avoid the grassy sections. On‑site facilities include toilets and refreshments, and the event encourages supporters to attend and celebrate afterwards with friends and family. Participants are supported with fundraising resources and local travel guidance to help plan arrival and accessibility on the day.
