Race for Life Aberystwyth 5k is a charity 5 km event organised by Cancer Research UK as part of its Race for Life programme, taking place on Sunday 10 May 2026. The course follows the seafront promenade around Marine Terrace with start and finish at The Bandstand, offering scenic coastal views and a community atmosphere. The event welcomes walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities and encourages participants to fundraise in support of life-saving cancer research.
The route for 2026 runs in the historic direction in reverse, is largely flat with a stated overall ascent of 38 metres, and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Practical arrangements include on-the-day race number collection at the Bandstand, refreshments and toilet facilities, and accessibility support such as sunflower wristbands and BSL stage content via QR code. Spectators are encouraged and the day has a family-friendly picnic atmosphere, while local road closures will be in place on race day for safety.
