A-2425 Nickelsdorf – ASV Nickelsdorf, Sportplatzgasse 1
RACA 1000 is the 1,000 km self-supported ultracycling option of Race Across Austria East to West, traversing the country from Nickelsdorf to Feldkirch and climbing approximately 16,000 m. The route includes numerous high alpine passes and special segments such as the Großglockner Sonderwertung, and the race is run under self-supported rules with GPS trackers issued at the start. Participants may choose one of two starting blocks, ADVENTURE or RACE, which differ only by start time and the respective time limit; rules and results apply equally to all entrants.
The event page and schedule specify in-person logistics including baggage (RACA 20l DropBag) drop-off, multiple BaseCamps for support, finish-area showers and a relaxation zone, and an awards ceremony in Feldkirch. Finisher items (including finisher T-shirts and certificates) and prizes are only handed out in person at the finish. The 2026 edition is listed on the organiser site as hosting the WUCA European Championship for Unsupported Ultracycling.
