PB137 Trail Challenge – Pennine Bridleway Trail Challenge is a small-field, multi-day trail ultramarathon run by Ranger Ultras along the Pennine Bridleway from the Hebden Bridge area to Kirkby Stephen. The event emphasises accessible, well-supported trail running with strong logistics including pre-race bunkroom accommodation, indoor midway checkpoints with hot meals and showers, and a staffed safety team on course. Entrants receive GPX files and a comprehensive race briefing in advance, and the route follows well-waymarked National Trail lines with some walkers' alternatives to minimise road running.
The 2026 edition runs from 16–18 April with a 50-hour overall cut-off and a midpoint exit/cut-off roughly at the halfway checkpoint. The field is intentionally limited to a small number of runners to maintain an uncrowded experience and good on-course support, while organisers position the race as excellent value given the included accommodation, meals and facilities. The race highlights mixed runnable trails with some technical ascents and substantial elevation, offering a rugged yet well-managed long-distance trail challenge.
