Place du Triangle de l'Amitié, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
The Mont-Blanc Marathon (2026 edition) is a multi-race mountain festival centred on Chamonix-Mont-Blanc that brings together eight distinct races across alpine terrain, from a vertical kilometre to a 90 km ultra. The programme spans 25–28 June 2026 and uses several Chamonix venues including Place du Mont-Blanc for the Trail Camp and Place du Triangle de l'Amitié and Planpraz for starts and finishes. The event emphasises high-altitude trail running, varied distances for different ability levels, and a festival atmosphere with an expo area and runner services across the village.
The organiser highlights strong environmental and community commitments, including a compulsory carbon-offset contribution and the removal of single-use plastic bottles in favour of a drinking water distribution system. Registration routes include direct entries, reserved train/bus and residents' bibs, lotteries (draws) and solidarity bib options; selected races use a draw with post-draw payment deadlines. The event offers prize ceremonies and a consolidated schedule of start times across the three festival days, with logistics concentrated around Chamonix’s main public spaces and Planpraz.
