Chinesischer Turm, Englischer Garten, Munich
The Monopteroslauf (Lions Monopteros Run) is an annual charity run held in Munich’s Englischer Garten and organised by Lions Club München‑Alt‑Schwabing. Traditionally staged on the last Sunday in September, the next edition is announced for 27 September 2026. The event emphasises inclusion and community and raises funds for local causes, including support for Munich disabled‑sport associations.
The 2026 edition is scheduled to start at 09:00 with a common start and finish at the Chinesischer Turm in the Englischer Garten and a planned finish window around 12:30. Several flexible, non-competitive distances are offered (examples given by the organiser include 5, 10, 14, 19, 28 and 33 km). The format is explicitly without official timekeeping or race numbers. On-site services include secure bag drop, aid stations and food and drink services. Public transport is recommended to access the start area.
