The Großglockner Ultra-Trail (GGUT) is a multi-distance high‑alpine trail festival around Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner, staged in the Zell am See‑Kaprun region. The 2026 edition (GGUT 2026) showcases five principal adult races and two children's events, with routes that traverse the Hohe Tauern National Park, pass glaciers and three‑thousand‑metre peaks, and include multiple high passes above 2,500 m. Organisers for 2026 are Zell am See‑Kaprun Tourismus together with SALTY Trailrunning, and the event pages emphasise safety, mandatory kit, and mountain‑specific race rules for technical alpine terrain.
The festival offers distances from short scenic runs to the long 110 km GGUT ultra (6,500 m+), and several races carry UTMB/ITRA recognition for ranking and qualification. Support services and athlete information (registration, mandatory equipment, GPX and profile downloads, shuttle and catering information) are provided on the official site and the linked registration platform. The event is presented as a capped, well‑organised mountain race weekend with family and youth programmes alongside the main ultra races.
