The GENERALI 5K as part of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON offers runners the unique chance to run the final five kilometres of the iconic Berlin Marathon course, finishing through the Brandenburg Gate. The event is presented by SCC EVENTS and is scheduled on the Saturday ahead of the main marathon, creating a festival atmosphere during marathon weekend. The race emphasises a historic course experience, professional organisation and participant safety, and every finisher receives an exclusive finisher medal.
Race materials are collected at the official MARATHON EXPO on the two days prior to the event and bibs must be collected in person. Course and start/finish area maps are published by the organiser and are subject to change; participants should consult the official event page for the latest PDFs and operational details. The GENERALI 5K is positioned as an accessible road event for a wide range of abilities while benefitting from the technical and safety infrastructure of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON weekend.
