First Bank Vienna Night Run (Running for the Good Cause)

The event titled "erste bank vienna night run – Laufen für den guten Zweck!" celebrates its 20th edition on 17 September 2026 and is staged as a 5 km single lap around Vienna’s illuminated Ringstraße. The race places communal enjoyment and the nocturnal city ambience above fastest times, inviting runners, joggers and Nordic walkers to share the route in a festival-like atmosphere. Sustainability is integral to the event: participants can opt out of the event shirt to trigger an additional mangrove tree planting in partnership with the blue life project.

The start and finish area is centred at Heldenplatz with course points given around Burgring/Naturhistorisches Museum to Opernring/Goethe-Denkmal, and participants are assigned to multiple start blocks (Elite, A–F) with staggered start windows on the evening of the race. Race numbers include an integrated timing chip and pre-event bib collection is held at WIEN MITTE The Mall on 15–16 September 2026.
