The erste bank vienna night run is an annual evening road race held on Vienna's iconic Ringstraße; the 2026 edition marks the event's 20th year. The race is a single 5 km lap around the Ringstraße with the start and finish area centred at Heldenplatz, creating a distinctive night-time spectacle through the city centre. The event combines competitive and mass-participation elements with dedicated wave starts, an elite start and a designated Nordic Walking block. The organiser is msm sportmedia marketing gmbh and Erste Bank is the title sponsor, with a sustainability partnership for mangrove planting.
Logistics emphasise participant convenience and sustainability: bib and packet collection is handled at WIEN MITTE The Mall (Landstraßer Hauptstraße 1b, 1030 Vienna) in the two days before the race, and registration deadlines and late-entry (Nachmeldung) options are published on the official site. The starter pack includes an Erste Bank starter bag and an optional long-sleeve running shirt, with the choice to forgo the shirt resulting in an additional mangrove tree being planted. The race village at Heldenplatz features a main stage, catering and a Company Zone, and the course includes at least one water station near the Burgtor; participants are encouraged to use public transport on event night.
