The Xtrem Triathlon (part of L'AlpsMan) is an XXL, extreme-format triathlon staged around Lake Annecy that pairs an open-water swim with a high-mountain bike and a long mountain run. The race is promoted as an ‘‘extrême’’ challenge and features a dramatic night/early-morning boat start from the esplanade at Saint-Jorioz to the middle of the lake, a mountainous bike route with several thousand metres of climbing, and a run that finishes either at the Sommet du Semnoz or back at the lake esplanade. The course and schedule information published by the organiser highlights the scenic alpine setting, technical climbs on the bike segment and the dual TOP / LAKE finishing options that distinguish the event.
Race logistics are tightly coordinated with transition and bag-drop operations at Saint-Jorioz, a partner village on the lakeshore and a formal prize ceremony after the event. For 2026 the event is affiliated with the Fédération Française de Triathlon (FFTri) and uses the Pass’Compétition / licence system; VIP and supporter packs are offered and entries are handled via the official registration page. The organiser notes courses may be modified on race day for safety and provides a detailed programme covering bib collection, transition opening times, boat embarkation and estimated finish windows.
