X-MAS Trail

The X-MAS Trail takes place on Sunday 13 December 2026 with start and finish at the Hochwaldhalle in Weiskirchen. The event comprises three technically demanding trail races that together traverse singletrack and numerous technical sections through the Naturpark Hunsrück‑Hochwald. Routes may be altered shortly before race day due to forestry work or weather, and final GPX files are published close to the event. Participants are advised to download offline maps and rely on the organiser’s route files on race day.

Mandatory equipment is checked at bib pickup and self‑sufficiency is emphasised, particularly for the longer distances; the race is explicitly not suitable for walkers and dogs are not permitted. Aid stations, warm drinks and medical support are provided but runners should expect winter forest conditions and carry the required protective gear. The event is ITRA‑evaluated and listed as an index race for the UTMB World Series, and prizes are awarded to top finishers at the ceremony.
