Weihnachtszauber Hamburg 2026 is a single‑day walking event on 12 December 2026 that guides participants past as many as 16 Christmas markets, starting from the Schanzenviertel in Hamburg. Entrants choose from four distances (8 km, 10 km, 15 km or 20 km) and may start in one of the four designated windows between 12:00 and 14:00. The route is self‑guided and can be followed using Komoot, a GPX file or an analogue map, and there are no chalk markings on the roads. The event limits entries to 800 to preserve an intimate atmosphere.
Each entrant receives a start package that includes a medal and a special‑edition Winterzauber mug 2026, and organisers donate €5 from every entry to charities including Radio Hamburg and Hörer helfen Kindern. Nordic walkers are explicitly welcome and dogs may accompany participants, while refreshments are largely self‑provided apart from a welcome drink. Bags may be left at the start or at feeding points but there is no formal baggage service or shuttle provision; public transport is recommended for arrival and departure. Registration opens 10 December 2025 and closes on 21 November 2026 or earlier if the participant cap is reached.
