The event "Nachtmammut Hamburg – 30/42 KM" is a night-time long-distance walking event staged in Hamburg's HafenCity, with start and finish at Cruise Center Baakenhöft (Baakenhafen). Participants can choose between two distances, 30 km and 42 km, and will experience specially arranged light installations and route highlights through the city after dark. The format emphasises atmosphere and shared adventure rather than competition, with staggered start groups to manage flows and enhance the night-time experience.

Finishers are rewarded with a certificate, a medal and a woven finisher band, and the 42 km option can be booked with an event T-shirt. The organiser, Mammutmarsch, operates event support such as route marshals and medical services, and an official Sportograf photography service documents the event.
