Vienna Uni-Run – Run for your university!

The Vienna Uni-Run – Lauf für deine Universität! is a university-themed evening road race held in Vienna on 3 June 2026. This annual event brings together students, alumni and university supporters for a compact 5 km city course that starts near Kaiserallee / Rotundenplatz by WU Wien. The event is framed as a team and university competition with broad participation and a festive mass-start atmosphere in the Prater area. Participants are asked to arrive approximately one hour before the start for race-day procedures and baggage drop.

The competition crowns the fastest university in Austria by combining the ten best times (men and women) for each university and also awards categories such as students, alumni and Uni-Friends. The route follows Kaiserallee, Prater-Hauptallee and Rotundenallee on a flat, city road surface and is promoted as a sustainability-focused "GREEN EVENT" with regional catering and reduced-waste measures.
