The Vienna City Marathon 2026 is a two-day running festival taking place on 18–19 April 2026 organised by Vienna City Marathon (VCM). The programme combines a World Athletics Elite Label marathon with a half marathon, a Powerade relay marathon and a packed programme of mass-participation and youth races. The marathon route showcases Vienna landmarks including the UNO‑City/Reichsbrücke start, Schönbrunn, the Prater and a city‑centre finish on the Ringstrasse in front of the Burgtheater. The festival also includes the Tchibo Coffee Run 10K, Vienna 5K and several children’s events, making it suitable for elite and recreational runners alike.
Participants are supported by RFID chip timing, organised bib collection (Vienna Sports World), pacemakers and onsite medical services, and options such as medal engraving and live results via the event app. Family and inclusion events such as the Princess & Prince Run, The Daily Mile (800 / 1600 m) and the Coca‑Cola Inclusion Run broaden access for younger runners and para‑participants. The Vienna City Marathon also served as the kick‑off event for the newly announced European Marathon Classics series.
