The event "Trail du Besso" is an extreme high‑alpine trail run around Zinal in the Val d'Anniviers, Switzerland, linking five mountain huts via old alpine paths. At the heart of the course are views of five 4000m peaks, two glaciers and four passes above 3,000 m, making the route notably technical and exposed in places. The organiser positions the race as a unique alpine challenge that favours experienced mountain runners and offers dramatic mountain scenery throughout.
The organiser, Les Trails du Besso, stages the race as part of its Trails du Besso hub with multiple course options on the same day in early September.
