The Peaks Tour 2026 is a single-day road sportive organised by UK Cycling Events that takes riders on a scenic but demanding ride through the Peak District National Park. All three routes start and finish at Bakewell Showground and are built around significant climbs and long, rewarding descents that showcase the Hope Valley and surrounding high points. Distances include a Long (160 km), Middle (120 km) and Short (74 km) route, each fully signed with feed stops, mechanical and medical support available along the way. The event is chip-timed with online results and provides free event photography and a finisher medal for participants.
Logistics emphasise rider safety and convenience: gates open at 07:00 with registration from 07:30 and staggered start windows for each route (Long 08:00, Middle 08:45, Short 09:15) and a common finish deadline of 17:00. There is free on-site parking at Bakewell Showground, plastic-free feed stops (riders are encouraged to bring refill bottles) and an optional charity entry via Alzheimer’s Research UK (Ride for a Cure) with associated fundraising perks. Event merchandise (a Peaks Tour cycling jersey produced with Stolen Goat) is offered as a cross-sell with a published ordering deadline, and age policies require under-16s to be accompanied and under-12s to be entered alongside a paying adult. Please consult the organiser’s event page for full terms, kit requirements and the final rider information booklet prior to the event.
