The General Rehearsal

"die Generalprobe" (The General Rehearsal) is a city running event organised by SCC EVENTS GmbH and held on Sunday 23 August 2026 in Berlin. The race uses a DLV‑certified 10.5 km loop through the districts Steglitz, Wilmersdorf and Zehlendorf; the Halbmarathon is run as two laps of that loop. The course is flat and spectator‑friendly and the event emphasises calm, orderly starts using start blocks. The event is part of the Generali Berliner Halbmarathon family.

Race categories include a Bambini‑Lauf (children's race with short starter distances of approximately 500–1,000 m), a Viertelmarathon (one 10.5 km lap) and a Halbmarathon (two laps of the 10.5 km loop). Published start times are 08:15 for the Bambini run and 09:00 for the Viertelmarathon and Halbmarathon. Official start documents and participant information (including detailed start plans and route maps) are issued to participants roughly 7–10 days before the race and start passes are sent by email prior to the event.

All finishers receive a finisher medal; personalised medal engraving is offered as an optional extra at registration. Podium awards are presented for top finishers and there are age‑group incentives (age‑group winners in the half marathon from AK40 receive a free entry for the following year). Practical participant services include changing rooms at the venue (showers may or may not be available), race chip timing (MIKA TAG transponder timing is used), ticket insurance options and good public transport links to the Start/Finish on Schloßstraße.
