The Druid's Challenge 2026 is a three-day stage ultra along the ancient Ridgeway, starting in Tring, Hertfordshire and finishing in Wiltshire. The route covers roughly 136 km (approximately 85 miles) and passes through the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with open chalk downland and ancient monuments along the way. The course is largely unmarked between checkpoints, and organisers provide GPX files and Ordnance Survey map resources to help competitors follow the route.
This event is presented as a multi-day endurance experience rather than a single-day race and offers single-day entry options for those not completing all stages. Day 1 is scheduled to start at Tring Rugby Club and the three stages are approximately 29, 27 and 29 miles respectively. The event is cup-free (participants should bring their own cup or water bottle) and has staffed aid stations for refilling along the route.
