The Drop - Liverpool is a stripped-back navigation challenge that deliberately removes certainty and route information, asking participants to find their own way back to the event centre. There are no markers, no directions and no navigational aids; entrants are blindfolded for deployment, must surrender electronic devices and watches at registration, and carry a sealed emergency bag for the duration of the challenge. The format is intentionally simple and uncompromising: you will be taken to an unknown location, the blindfolds will be removed, and your time starts when you begin to make decisions about your return route.
There are multiple distance options for the Liverpool edition — The Drop 6 (non-locals only), The Drop 10 and The Drop 15 — with distances quoted "as the crow flies" so actual routes will be substantially longer. An optional live GPS tracker can be taken for safety and convenience but is not included in the entry fee, and trackers must be returned after the event or a replacement fee applies. The event is for adults only (18+ on 14/06/2026) and is based at Liverpool Watersports Centre, emphasising self-navigation, personal responsibility and safety procedures overseen by the organisers.
