The Big Half is a vibrant, inclusive half marathon staged through central London that celebrates the citys communities and culture. The course passes through four boroughs and links iconic landmarks, starting around Tower Bridge and finishing by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, with a festival atmosphere for runners and spectators. The race is presented by London Marathon Events Limited and is promoted as a celebration of community, movement and support across diverse neighbourhoods.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 6 September 2026 and has general entry sold out while charity places remain available. The Big Half sits alongside associated events including the New Balance Big Relay (team relay) and The Big Mile (one-mile family event), and participants are supported by services such as pacers, professional event photography and a Participant Guide and app issued before race day.
