Blackheath Common, off Prince Charles Road, Blackheath, SE3 0TY, United Kingdom
Race for Life’s London - Blackheath 10k is a charity 10 kilometre run held on Blackheath Common organised by Cancer Research UK. The event combines fundraising with a friendly, inclusive race atmosphere and encourages participants to run, jog or walk to support life-saving cancer research. The course is laid out as two laps on predominantly grass surfaces with the start and finish on the heath, and the event page emphasises a welcoming atmosphere for families, supporters and first-time runners. Entrants are offered pre-race warm-ups and on-site activities so participants can make a day of it with friends and family.
The 10k is chip-timed so competitors can track performance while raising funds for research, and the organisers provide fundraising support and guidance for entrants. The route crosses a small number of closed roads for safety but remains mostly on grass and is described as relatively flat with a few gentle undulations. Accessibility provision is noted, including wheelchair access with assistance and BSL resources via QR code, and spectators are encouraged to join the finish-area celebration and picnic on the common.
