Der 25. Österreichische Friedenslauf is a one-day charitable running event held on 17 April 2026 that raises funds for schooling and support projects, in particular for refugee children in Lebanon. The event follows the long-standing Friedenslauf motto “ICH LAUFE – DU SPENDEST – WIR HELFEN!” and counts laps as the basis for donations, with each completed lap generating at least one euro for selected projects. The format emphasises community and school involvement, encouraging pupils, clubs and families to participate together for a common charitable goal.
The event takes place at the Wiener Prater sports facilities (WLV / Sportunion grounds) and combines lap-based running with a community programme including a buffet, information stands and activities for children. Organisers (Entwicklungshilfeklub in cooperation with local partners) provide start numbers and stamp cards to record laps, and participants receive a certificate after the run; registration details and the official flyer are published on the event website.
