The Charity Lauf is a family-centred fundraising event organised by Sportfreunde-Kinder under the motto „miteinander, nebeneinander und füreinander“. The event brings together multiple age-group races and community activities at the LAZ Laufbahn (Meiereistraße 18, 1020 Wien) and along the Prater Hauptallee, combining short children’s races with a 3-hour endurance run and a natural run through the park. It emphasises participation and charity, with donations collected per kilometre to benefit KINDER & HERZENSANGELEGENHEITEN and medals awarded to all child participants.
The day features a Babylauf, a series of Kinderlauf age-group races, a 3h Lauf time-based challenge and a Naturlauf route, with mascots, starter bags and event photography for participants. Practical participant services such as bib pickup before the event, downloadable photos after the race and parental-consent documentation for minors are provided on the organiser’s pages. The event is presented as the 8th Familienevent edition in 2026 and is intended as a welcoming, family-friendly fundraiser rather than an elite competition.
