Wintersporthalle, Deutsche Bank Park (Stadion Deutsche Bank Park), Frankfurt am Main
The Spiridon Mainova Silvesterlauf is an annual New Year’s Eve road running event held in Frankfurt am Main, traditionally known in German as the Spiridon Mainova Silvesterlauf. The race features a 10 km main course that runs through the wintery Frankfurter Stadtwald, with start and finish at the Wintersporthalle by Deutsche Bank Park. The event is run under the Spiridon Frankfurt e.V. banner and for 2026 is presented as the 48th edition of the race. It is promoted as a longstanding year‑end tradition that attracts runners across the region.
In addition to the 10 km principal race the programme includes youth and children’s runs, making the day family friendly and accessible to a wide range of participants. The Spiridon Mainova Silvesterlauf is described as the largest New Year’s run in Hessen and serves as the final scoring race of the Rosbacher Main‑Lauf‑Cup. Competitors and spectators gather at the Wintersporthalle at Deutsche Bank Park where the course begins and finishes, set in the scenic Stadtwald woodland of Frankfurt.
