The 11. Petersberglauf (Berg-Crosslauf Marktbergel) will be staged on Sunday 5 July 2026 in Marktbergel and is organised by TSV Marktbergel 1900 e. V. The event comprises multiple races on the same day, from a 400 m Bambinilauf for the youngest participants to a main 10 km (listed as 10.4 km in some materials) Hauptlauf and a 5.2 km hobby run, with scheduled start windows in the morning. Official timekeeping and online results are managed by SAS-Zeitmesssysteme (SAS electronic/chip timing); photos, finish videos, certificates and historical galleries are published via the SAS portal and the event website.
Courses run around the Petersberg on a hilly cross-country/mountain route with a mix of asphalt, forest and field tracks and a new trail section under development. The event features separate age-group classifications and prize-giving (Siegerehrung) after races, plus refreshments and on-site facilities at the sports hall (Am Sportplatz). Entrants may register through the SAS online portal; late entries (Nachmeldungen) are normally permitted up to 60 minutes before the respective starts. The organiser operates a limited field for some categories (250 participants cap for main categories) — competitors should consult the organiser pages and the event homepage for final start lists, bib pickup instructions and athlete information.
