The Schlossberg XC & Marathon light is a one-day mountain bike meeting organised by SPORTUNION Mountainbike Team Bucklige Welt in Kirchschlag in der Buckligen Welt. The event combines a Technikparcour (technical parcours) with cross‑country racing and a two‑lap "Marathon light" circuit around the Schlossberg, making it both a technical and endurance test. It is staged at the Motocross‑Gelände des MSC Kirchschlag ("Martini") and is run under ÖRV regulations with Youngsters Cup and Austria Amateur Cup classification opportunities.
The weekend includes a course preview and supervised training, youth race programmes (U9–U17) with staged starts, and a Marathon light mass start on the main race day. Organisers provide race numbers, timing and medals for top‑three finishers in each class, and on‑site facilities such as showers. Helmets are mandatory, training outside published times is forbidden due to motocross activity, and late on‑site registration is possible until one hour before the relevant starts.
