The SauwaldGiro (SauwaldGiro) is a one-day road cycling event held on 30 August 2026 with start and finish at the Gemeindeamt in St. Roman, Austria. The event is presented as a touristic cycling experience through the Sauwald landscape and offers two official route options: Strecke A (105 km, ~1,600 m elevation) and Strecke B (61 km, ~900 m elevation). Organised by Team Alpha Radsportteam, the event emphasises scenic riding, regional partners, and a community race day rather than a closed, competitive road race.
Riders are supported with live GPS tracking on race day, chip timing, and on-site services including post-ride food and drink; showers and changing facilities are provided at the local Volksschule. The SauwaldGiro operates under standard road rules (StVO), requires a helmet and personal liability insurance, and permits online registration via the linked Time2Win page with tiered entry fees. Event administration, start-number collection and a short mandatory race briefing are handled from the Gemeindeamt St. Roman on the race weekend.
