Sardon Run 2026 is a multi-distance trail festival organised by ASD SentieroUNO on the Karst coast near Trieste, centred on the Fishermen’s Village (Villaggio del Pescatore) in Duino. The event brings together a range of runnable courses from short family routes to long ultras, all routed through coastal cliffs, karst plateaux and Great War sites, and finishes back at the Fishermen’s Village where finishing traditions include a dip in the sea and local sardine tastings. The programme emphasises landscape and heritage, offering dramatic cliff-top sections along the Rilke Path and route passages that pass trenches, bunkers and other historical relics of the First World War.
The Sardon Run brand stages multiple distinct races on the same day, including the long-distance Sardon Ultra and shorter Sardonzin family event, plus trail and half-marathon options, with a village offering services, bib collection and post-race catering. Courses feature varied surfaces — single-track, karst tracks, forest roads and coastal tarmac — and advertised support includes multiple aid stations and a race village with food and recovery areas. Entrants are directed to the official site for regulations, registration and downloadable race documentation or GPS tracks for competitors.
