Sandhofer Road Run – The Run in Mannheim's North

The Sandhofer Straßenlauf (Sandhofer Straßenlauf – Der Lauf in Mannheims Norden) is an evening 10 km road race held in the Sandhofen district of Mannheim and forms the second event of the engelhorn sports Brooks Laufcup 2026. The main 10 km race is DLV‑measured and described as a flat, largely asphalt loop with every kilometre signposted, making it suitable for fast times and accurate pacing. A youth Schülerlauf of about 1.2 km is held on the same evening, creating a family‑friendly programme and community atmosphere.

Start and finish are at SKV Sandhofen / Sportplatz Riedlach with bib collection available on race day and timing and results managed by br‑timing; the 10 km race typically starts at 19:45 with a timekeeping cutoff at 21:15. Facilities include changing rooms and showers at the SKV premises, on‑site refreshments and first aid, and limited parking with a recommendation to use tram RNV Line 3. As part of the Brooks Laufcup series, competitors may also qualify for series prizes and a Laufcup finisher sweatshirt if they complete the requisite number of events.
