Salzburg Trailrunning Festival

The Salzburg Trailrunning Festival is a three-day trailrunning festival and the trail season finale in Austria, taking place across Salzburg city and its surrounding city‑mountains. The festival brings together a programme of city and mountain races, family activities and side events that aim to show "Salzburg from a different perspective" with routes that pass Kapitelplatz, the Salzach riverfront and viewpoints beneath Hohensalzburg Fortress. The event is presented by G‑Sport | Sport Solutions | Coaching & Events and is framed as a social, competitive and festival experience for runners of varied abilities.

Across Friday to Sunday the festival hosts evening and daytime races, children’s trails, workshops and partner activations including the Salomon Trailwochen preparation series and an associated expo and race village. The programme mixes short urban trail races with longer mountain routes, guided sessions and media/awards presentations to create a compact city‑centre finish atmosphere. Registration is advertised as open on the official festival site and participants are directed to individual race pages for entries, GPX downloads and race documents.
