SachsenTrail

SachsenTrail is a multi-day trail-running festival set in the Ore Mountains, centred on the Trailcenter Rabenberg above Breitenbrunn. Runners tackle narrow singletrack, short, punchy climbs and forest paths with scenic outlooks across the Erzgebirge. The programme spans from a Friday evening uphill prologue to a full weekend of races, creating a lively atmosphere with services at the start/finish area and a welcoming trail community vibe.

Saturday features the signature UltraTrail of about 75 km with around 1,902 m of ascent, including a crossing of the Fichtelberg, Saxony’s highest peak, alongside the HalfTrail and BaseTrail. Sunday brings the QuarterTrail and FunTrail plus three JuniorTrails for young runners, making the event truly family-friendly. A special Super‑Trail weekend option rewards athletes who race on all three days, with additional recognition at the Sunday prizegiving. Clear route marking is supported by downloadable GPS tracks for confident navigation.
