The SachsenEnergie NACHTLAUF LEIPZIG takes place on 05 June 2026 at the Alte Messe in Leipzig and is organised under the Nachtlauf brand by maximalPULS GmbH with SachsenEnergie as title sponsor. The event is built around a 3 km loop that is run multiple times to create the offered distances (3 km, 6 km and 9 km). The 2026 edition lists a limited field with a published maximum participant capacity, making it a focused night-running spectacle rather than a mass city marathon.
The course and finish area emphasise atmosphere and entertainment: the route and finish feature LED lighting, music and fire effects, with a DJ set and live music in the finish area. Participants receive event finish tokens (a finisher medal and finisher certificate). There are special incentives such as costume discounts/awards and prizes for the largest team. Registration is managed via the official Nachtlauf site; the organiser notes a registration desk on race day and allows late on-site registration, and route or schedule changes may occur (“unter Vorbehalt”).
