Bruno-Plache-Stadion, Connewitzer Straße 21, 04289 Leipzig, Germany
The Leipziger Silberseelauf (Leipziger Silberseelauf) is a long-standing multi-distance evening road race held with start and finish in the Bruno-Plache-Stadion. The 36th edition is scheduled for 13 May 2026 and the organiser publishes a staggered start format with the first start (Bambini) at 17:00 and bib collection opening from 15:00 on race day. The event combines family-friendly short races with longer competitive distances up to 20 km and forms part of the local Leipziger Stadtranglistenlaufserie.
For 2026 the course is adjusted because of stadium renovation works, which shortens the lap by roughly 400 m and alters the usual loop routing; the 20 km remains a two-lap race of the 10 km circuit. Online registration opened on 23 January 2026 with an early-bird pricing window through 13 February 2026, and the organiser provides on-course aid (water/fruit), bib timing transponders and a full race-day support structure at the stadium. The event is presented in coordination with local clubs and the Stadtranglisten commission, and includes dedicated children’s races and volunteer sign-up channels for helpers and marshals.
