Hyde Park, London (start); Kensington Gardens (finish)
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is a scenic, closed-road half marathon taking runners on a single 13.1 mile lap through central London’s Royal Parks. The course passes four of the capital’s parks — Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens — and showcases landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace. The route was refreshed for 2025 with a brand‑new finish area by The Albert Memorial and Royal Albert Hall and retains a festival atmosphere in the event village at Hyde Park. This setting makes the race notable for both sightseeing and a big-city race experience.
On-course services include four water stations positioned at miles 3.5, 6.5, 9.5 and 11, secure bag collection in the finish area and post-race facilities within the Hyde Park event village. The event is delivered under The Royal Parks umbrella and offers ballot and charity entry routes through partner charities, with many charities providing branded vests, fundraising support and access to team marquees on the day. The race is promoted as suitable for a wide range of runners thanks to its largely flat central‑London course with some small undulations and closed roads for much of the route.
