Red Castle Run 2026

Red Castle Run 2026 is an obstacle-course event held at the Festplatz in Rotenburg an der Fulda that offers three distinct routes for families, hobby athletes and experienced runners. The programme includes the 4 km Figge-Fun-FamilienTour, the 8 km VR-Bankvereinrunde and the 16 km Himmel u. Papesch-Ritterrunde, each routed through woodland, water passages and varied terrain on a former training ground. The event balances family-friendly waves with more demanding, technical sections and highlights teamwork and fun over pure racing results.

The organiser provides on-site support including a pre-race packet collection (start documents pickup is stated for 22 August from 09:00 at the Info tent), free baggage storage, changing rooms and showers at a nearby sports hall, and catering in the start/finish area. Unique course features include historic training-ground obstacles (the Panzerwaschanlage is noted) and extensive photo coverage; participants can also use the Spoferan app for registration and event updates.
