Feuerwehrhaus Silbertal (start), Silbertal, Vorarlberg, Austria
The Raiffeisen Montafon Arlberg Marathon is a cross‑border alpine trail event held on 27 June 2026. The main marathon runs from Silbertal in Vorarlberg to St. Anton am Arlberg in Tirol, following natural forest and alpine paths and crossing the Verwall Natura 2000 area. The course offers high‑alpine scenery and demanding terrain, with the marathon carrying substantial ascent through mountain trails rather than on public roads. The event name on the organiser pages is given in German as "Raiffeisen Montafon Arlberg Marathon" and the site provides translations to English.
The weekend is a multi‑distance festival of trail running and walking, with marathon (42.195 km, ~1,500 m ascent), the T33 Trail (33 km), the Panoramatrail (15 km), a 33 km Wandererlebnis (non‑competitive) and a Kindertrail for children. Practical services noted on the official pages include bib pickup on Friday evening and Saturday morning, numerous aid stations, luggage transport between start and finish, morning shuttles and free public transport within Vorarlberg for participants, and a Friday pasta party. The event is organised by Montafon Tourismus GmbH and the official event pages contain route maps, elevation profiles and registration links for each distance.
