Race The Train is a long‑running, community‑organised multi‑terrain running event held in and around Tywyn, Gwynedd. The event is organised by the Tywyn Rotary Club (Clwb Rotari Tywyn Rotary Club) and the organiser site includes both English and Welsh text for the race. The meeting of countryside trails and town routes gives the event a distinctive local character, and entrants are invited to tackle one of several named challenges of different lengths and difficulties.
A unique feature of Race The Train is the opportunity for spectators and passengers to travel alongside the race on the Talyllyn Railway while competitors run their courses.
