Race Across Germany Aachen - Görlitz is an ultra-distance road cycling edition that links Aachen in the west to the Blue Lagoon in Görlitz in the east over approximately 800 kilometres. The route passes landmark landscapes including the Hambach open-pit mine, the Rhine near Cologne Cathedral, the Biggesee, the Hochsauerland and Lake Edersee before crossing the wide plains into Saxony. The event is run as a staged long-distance ride with timed checkpoints, live finish times and published course records that reward both paced teamwork and solo endurance.
Logistics explicitly support non-supported riders with a single-item baggage transfer option, on-site accreditation and GPS tracker issue before the start. All finishers within the time limits receive a finisher jersey and a medal, and category winners are celebrated at an award ceremony; RAAM qualification times are listed for this Aachen–Görlitz edition. Participants are responsible for their own nutrition with the course designed around self-supply opportunities such as supermarkets, bakeries and service stations.
