Rahserstraße (near Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule), Rahser district, Viersen, Germany
The Ra(h)ser – Run (Ra(h)ser – Run – Straßenlauf der LG 47 Viersen) is a community road-running event organised by LG 1947 Viersen e.V., held in the Rahser district of Viersen with routes running around the Niers river. The meeting and finish area are staged on Rahserstraße near the Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule, with bib collection and bag drop handled in the school aula. The event forms part of the NEW-Laufserie and traditionally offers multiple distances to suit families, schools and competitive runners.
Distances include certified 5 km and 10 km road races plus shorter 2.6 km and 1 km runs and children’s categories; the 5 km and 10 km courses are DLV-certified and suitable for Bestenlisten consideration. Electronic timing is used (transponder in the bib) and finish-area facilities include changing rooms and showers in the school sports hall, a secure bag drop and event photography. Registration is open for the 8th Ra(h)ser-Run and the organiser publishes registration deadlines and participant information on the official event site and the Ausschreibung (information) page.
