The Quantock Hills Trail Half Marathon! is a single-day trail running event held on the Quantock Hills in Somerset, offering a challenging 13.12 mile course across moorland, forest tracks and quiet country lanes. The route combines sustained climbs, technical singletrack, stiles, gates and stream crossings so it appeals to experienced trail runners as well as determined newcomers seeking a memorable challenge. The organiser works with local conservation partners including the Quantocks AONB service, Natural England and The National Trust to stage the event on way-marked trails while protecting the landscape.
The race starts from Kilve Court (SSE Outdoors Kilve) at 09:00 and includes two fully stocked feed stations, plentiful marshals and accurate chip timing for finishers. All finishers receive a large finisher medal and there are awards for the top three male and female finishers; the weekend also offers on-site camping, van parking and basic bunkhouse accommodation options. This event is listed as a UTMB index event, allowing runners to record the result for the UTMB running index if they choose to do so.
