Henley Showground (Henley Basecamp)
The Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge (Ultra Challenge® Series) takes place on 26 September 2026 with Henley Showground serving as the event basecamp and start/finish. The event offers multiple distance options — a 50 km full challenge plus 25 km and 10 km looped routes — and also includes the Ultra March® walking option and the new Ultra Trailblazerz® competitive category for faster runners. Participants may walk, jog or run and can enter individually or as part of a team, with a range of charity fundraising and mixed‑funding entry routes available through the organiser. The route is promoted as accessible from London and designed to showcase the Chilterns countryside, historic trails and rolling views.
The event is fully supported with signed routes and GPS tracking via the Challenge app, regular rest stops with food and drink, and an on‑site medical and massage team. Basecamp facilities include camping and a Saturday night celebration with food and drink, plus finisher benefits such as a medal and technical T‑shirt and a hot finish meal and refreshments. Timing and progress are monitored on the day using the organiser's timing system and checkpoints, and shuttle transfers to the nearest train station and on‑site parking are provided. The event is part of the Ultra Challenge® Series and is organised by the Ultra Challenge team (Action Challenge), with multiple charity partner options available for fundraising entrants.
