Barley Village Hall, Barley, Pendle, Lancashire
Pendle Way In A Day 2027 is the annual winter ultra following the full Pendle Way route around East Lancashire, organised under the Pendle Way In A Day brand. The event offers the traditional full route of approximately 45 miles and an alternative approximately 30-mile course, both of which are waymarked and supported with checkpoint aid. The challenge is intended for both walkers and runners and emphasises self-sufficiency, winter kit requirements and route guidance resources such as GPX and written instructions.
The event starts and finishes in Barley village and follows established checkpoints along the Pendle Way, with checkpoint closures aligned to an overall midnight finish cut-off. Entrants are required to carry mandatory winter equipment and follow marshals’ instructions at checkpoints; organisers publish route maps, GPX files and written instructions in advance. Entries for the 2027 edition are handled via SI Entries and the series website provides contact and social links for more information.
