The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon is presented as the 24th edition of the Linz marathon weekend and takes place in Linz, Austria on 12 April 2026. The festival-style weekend brings together multiple competitions under one brand, including the marathon, half marathon, quarter and 5K events, as well as junior races, handbike and Special Olympics runs. The event is organised by Linzer Veranstaltungsgesellschaft mbH (LIVA) and is supported by a broad sponsor and partner network, with music along the route and a dedicated family area to enhance the race-day atmosphere.
The weekend also includes the Linz Marathon Sports Fair at the TipsArena where starting numbers are issued, a pasta party is held and late on-site registrations are possible. The organiser publishes registration, athlete information and timing/starter lists on the official website and via the timing partner portals. The festival is promoted as a fast, accessible city course with a participation cap of up to 20,000 entrants and a comprehensive set of athlete services and public-transport guidance for visitors.
