O-SEE 25k is the half‑marathon category of the O‑SEE Ultra Trail weekend in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park, starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Oybin. The 25.1 km route features varied trails and forest paths threaded between sandstone formations and historic landmarks, offering a demanding yet rewarding experience. Runners tackle 1,053 metres of elevation gain, with live GPS tracking issued at check‑in to support safety and fair play. The event atmosphere is festival‑like, with a lively race village and services in the start/finish area.
According to the organiser, this race forms part of the XTERRA Trail Run World Series, bringing competitive depth alongside a welcoming community feel. Electronic chip timing, on‑course aid, and finish‑area catering are provided, and changing, showers and luggage storage are available near the line. A cut‑off applies at Stern Jonsdorf, and participants must carry a drinking container as no cups are provided at aid stations. Families and supporters will also find short ‘Light’ and kids’ runs on the programme during the main Saturday schedule.
