The Nibelungenlauf (Worms) 6 23. Wormser Nibelungenlauf (2026) is a riverside weekend running festival held on 12 613 September 2026 in Worms, Germany. The event centres on the Nibelungenlauf-Arena on the Rheinufer and combines a cultural "Sport & Kultur" programme with multiple race categories for all ages and abilities. Participants are offered turn-point courses on a flat, fast route that passes local landmarks including the Hagendenkmal and Kriemhilds Rosengarten.
The weekend schedule features childrens and novelty runs on Saturday and competitive races on Sunday, including a half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km and a range of 5 km categories, plus a 10 km walking category. Organisers provide chip timing, a finisher shirt included in the entry fee, bib collection windows across the race weekend and course support for competitors. The event emphasises inclusivity with dedicated classes such as Frauenlauf, U60-Lauf, Schülerlauf and Bambinilauf, and finishes with a public awards ceremony at the Hagendenkmal.
