Event Overview
The inaugural Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department "Fired Up for the 4th 5K Run” will be held June 28th! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a leisurely stroll, this 5K is the perfect way to kick off the 4th of July festivities. Runners, runners with strollers, walkers, and kids are all welcome. We've got a day packed with excitement. Discounted entry fees for fire, police, and EMS entrants. Awards will be given to the fastest male and female firefighters, police, EMS, and runners overall as well as to age group winners.
Course Description & Map
Approximately 5-10 minutes before the race start, we will proceed as a group over to the start line on East Shore Road, where the race will begin and end. If you looked at the course map earlier, be sure to take a look at the new course map because the start/finish line has been moved and the first and last stage of the run has been altered to enhance runner safety and improve traffic management.
